The Droid Xyboard or Xoom 2 in the UK, is an Android-based tablet computer by Motorola, which was announced by Motorola Mobility on November 3, 2011.[2]
Compared to its predecessor, the Motorola Xoom, Motorola's website said that the Droid Xyboard would be "10 percent lighter", "33 percent thinner", have an "improved HD 10.1-inch screen", and would be able to "stream PC files to your tablet with MotoCast™". The website also claims the tablet's 1.2 GHz dual-core processor "boosts speed by 20 percent".[3]
There is an optional active capacitive stylus available, sold separately.

The Droid Xyboard is also available as a Media Edition.[4] The Motorola website states that the Media Edition will "Stream files from your PC" with "MotoCast™" and has an 8.2-inch "HD widescreen" with "Adaptive virtual surround sound". The Media Edition does not support the active stylus.
Both Xoom 2 tablets were released in November 2011, and are available in the UK at Carphone Warehouse, Best Buy, Dixons, PC World and Currys in the United Kingdom.[5]
The Droid Xyboard was released in some stores on December 9, and will be available for in-store purchases in all stores on December 12, 2011.
